In April 2021 an exciting project was finalized in Thousand Oaks, California. For an office building I created two large compositions installed in the main area staircase and in one of the corridors. In this series you can see my compositions and some views of the installation.

The photographic works installed are “MoMA Labyrinth II” and “Sunny Side II”. Both are based on the similarly entitled “MoMA Labyrinth” (photographed at the MoMA in New York) and “Sunny Side” (shot in Rotterdam), available as limited edition prints at Saatchi Art.

Introduction by BBA Gallery
Introducing Paul Brouns with his first online exclusive show with BBA Gallery for Artsy. Brouns found his voice by capturing architecture. The urban landscape proved to be an ideal playground for finding geometrical elements to use in his compositions.
Paul Brouns (1967) is a Dutch photographing artist that lives and works near Amsterdam. Observing the urban world, he is attracted by the abstract, rhythmic poetry of buildings and of façades in particular. He clearly concentrates only on particular elements of architecture, such as the rhythm of windows and the colour of wall surfaces.

FMS-Magazine has featured an interview with me. In the article I talk about my work and my creative journey of life.
Paul Brouns is an artist, who is intrigued by the geometry and rhythm in architecture, and uses photography as a medium for creating art. “I am creating a body of work that is offered in limited edition prints, mostly not more than five or eight prints per image in three basic sizes (small, medium and large). I sell these through a couple of galleries in different countries (Holland, the US, India, and South Korea) but also directly at art fairs in Amsterdam, London, New York and Tokyo.”
“My fondness of using my imagination when drawing at home, in time, has evolved into creating new realities out of my photographic material in my studio.”
