Exhibition at the Photo Museum Maastricht
ARCHITECTURE AS A MUSICAL SCORE
From 7 January to 22 February 2026 I am exhibiting my work at Fotomuseum aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht. My solo show ‘Architecture as a Musical Score’ can be seen in the exhibition area ‘Kamer 13’.
In my work I approach the city as if it were music. Rather than documenting buildings, I translate architectural structures into rhythmic visual compositions shaped by repetition, light and colour. Windows, balconies, fire escapes and doors become a kind of visual notation—while subtle disruptions in pattern, an unexpected echo, or a trace of human presence add tension and surprise.
Here is an interview with me about the exhibition and my work (in Dutch). Click on the image to zoom and read. Author of the article is Ronald Meeus / photography by Rob Oostwegel.
Here is an automated translation in English (PDF).

During the exhibition this new photo book is being presented and can be looked into at the museum. The book expands on the ideas behind the work and offers a broad selection of images in a carefully designed sequence. It is an invitation to experience my work at your own pace. Pre-order registration will open soon on this website.
